"I make these to look more as a flower. I gave them out at Christmas at the VA hospital that I use one year and I painted some Christmas colors and some for Channukkah colors and some just pretty flower colors. I did it that way because there are Christians, Jews, and people who don't believe in the holidays but they all got a present. I made over 1,000 of them and they were all well received. Unfortunately my hands are not what they used to be. I wish I could make them now and give them out. I think I would make about 5,000 this year because there are more veterans that need the cheer."

"I am so sorry this is a day late, again, this week. Maybe the craft post should become a Friday post! Just kidding. I have to share with you why I haven’t been very “craftastic” for awhile. As you might know, my daughter was hospitalized for weeks in September and out of school through October. During that time my other two made lots of cards for the kids in the hospital and my scrapbook room got a little messy (understatement). I just haven’t been in the mood or have had the energy to tackle the mess. It has become to easy to just shut the door. Check out the pics below!"
