Materials List
- Clear glass wine bottle (in this case, a 375ml bottle was used)
- 20 small pink scrapbook paper flowers
- Black Artline 703 permanent marker pen
- Acrylic paint in watermelon pink
- Clear drying wood glue
- Quick-drying clear spray varnish
- Super glue
- Paintbrush
- Small plastic container
- Newspaper to protect the working area
Instructions
-
Wash the bottle and allow to dry upside down overnight. If necessary, use mineral turpentine to remove any glue residue from where the label was stuck.
-
In the plastic container, mix wood glue with some of the watermelon pink acrylic paint. Keep adding paint until a rose pink hue has been obtained.
-
Use the paintbrush and add a coat of colored glue to the outside of the wine bottle. Apply glue all the way up to the top lip of the bottle, but do not paint the base of the bottle. Allow to dry thoroughly.
-
Use the black Artline pen to draw twigs around the body, shoulder, and neck of the bottle.
-
Put the bottle upright on a piece of newspaper and spray with a coat of spray varnish. Remember to work in a well ventilated area when using the spray varnish. Allow to dry thoroughly.
-
Use super glue to add the flowers around the bottle.

OMG! This is beautiful! My creative juices are really flowing right now. I have most of the items on hand and just itching to get started and make this project my own. I love the three d affect provided by the scrapbook paper flowers. I want to "extend" this idea by using those pre-lit branches to display in these when completed. One on each side of my guest room bedside table.

Love the title of this project almost as much as the color selected to create it. This is too cute to pass over. I have no idea where I will display this when complete, but I just have to make it. Too cute.

Spring Floral Fantasy Vase - this way different colors can be used on the glass and with the flowers and still the name would fit.

I'd drill a hole in the bottom with a diamond drill bit and insert fairy lights then call it a Cherry Blossom Night Light.
