Initially, I thought these were the pull tab soda/beer can tops. When I clicked into the directions, it became clear that the designer altered the cap to make it look like the pedal of a flower. Smart. Times like this I wish I did have items like this so that I could make this adorable pinwheel flower. Rest assured, I will be on the lookout for bottle caps now though.

These little cuties almost make me want to go out and purchase bottle with caps. Just one more thing for me to hoard as if I don't have a million things in my craft closet as it it. I like this idea.

I have been saving bottle caps "forever" to make a mosaic for the back patio. When I saw this I decided to make a few for the backyard and for a couple of gifts. I don't have a "self healing" can opener. Other than being careful, can anyone suggest how to burnish the can top to keep from cutting myself?

My can opener is like yours it leaves a sharp edge that can be dangerous to handle, especially in a project like this one. The only thing I can think of is to cover the edge somehow, maybe by putting tape over it? Or a bead of glue to cover the sharp edge.

Please post the correct link to the bottle cap pinwheel flower. Thanks
