When looking at the pictures, I kept looking for the mess, but those little boys did a great job of keeping it neat. Good photos of the birds enjoy the feeders, too. I have seen this several times but I think I'll actually try it this time... however, I'm afraid it's going to be a squirrel feeder here.

This is a really cool idea!! My dad is a big bird fan, since retiring he loves looking and feeding the birds in the garden! I think I will make this with my Niece and Nephew for him for Fathers day, I think he will definitely love this from them!!

I love this Early Spring Pine Cone Bird Feeder idea. My children who are adults now did this when they were young and in Scouts. This craft is fun for all ages and it does make a great rainy day craft. After it stops raining, go outside and hang the bird feeders. It's so nice to sit back and watch the birds fight over the feeders. So I suggest making a lot of them and hang them all over. We didn't have a tree in our yard at the time so we hung them on the fence and the birds loved them. We started writing down what types of bird came to enjoy the seeds. It was a great learning experience and to help enjoy nature. Thank you for reminding me of this craft that can now be done with the Grand babies.
