"I make these to look more as a flower. I gave them out at Christmas at the VA hospital that I use one year and I painted some Christmas colors and some for Channukkah colors and some just pretty flower colors. I did it that way because there are Christians, Jews, and people who don't believe in the holidays but they all got a present. I made over 1,000 of them and they were all well received. Unfortunately my hands are not what they used to be. I wish I could make them now and give them out. I think I would make about 5,000 this year because there are more veterans that need the cheer."

Elegant Snowflakes

"Here is a fun frosty project to share with the family. Embellish some simple wooden snowflakes and transform them from plain to elegant. They are very easy to create and would be a great low cost family project that the kids could help to make. Simply paint them white and add gems or glitter to make them unique and to fit your style of home decor. Hang them individually or string them together to make a fabulous one of a kind winter garland."
