The holidays can be a busy time of year so that's why this quick DIY Thanksgiving decor is a great craft to whip up. In no time at all, you'll have created a gorgeous wreath for your front door. With the colors used in this leafy wreath, you can leave it up all fall long. No need to worry about finding another wreath for your front door this fall.

 

Materials:

  • Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Yarn: Spice
  • Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Yarn: Lemongrass
  • Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Yarn: Cilantro

Additional Materials:

  • 12 in. (30.5 cm) diameter foam wreath
  • Craft glue
  • Cardboard

 

Instructions:

Gauge:

  • Exact gauge is not essential to this project.

 

Wreath:

  • Apply glue to a small section of the foam wreath, then wrap glued area with A. Continue to apply glue to one small section of wreath at a time, then wrap with A until wreath is completely covered. Allow wreath to dry completely.
  • Leaves (make 10 – 5 with B, 5 with C)
  • Cut (freehand) leaf shape from cardboard. Apply a small amount of glue to cardboard, then wrap with yarn. Allow leaves to dry, then glue to wreath.

This I can do! And I like the looks of it, so that's a definite plus. I might even have the right shade of Wool-Ease yarn but if not I can probably substitute. Maybe I'll put more leaves on it, too.... or maybe not. This is a delightful project and I am going to make it long before autumn just because I want to!
