"I admit, I know nothing about Minecraft! My kids are too young but when they were invited to a Minecraft-themed birthday party, I just had to jump in on the fun. Using a printable template (available on my website) and a sheet of cardstock, I quickly created a unique Minecraft Diamond Sword gift card holder."

Materials List

  • Downloadable free Minecraft Diamond Sword template
  • Sheet of cardstock or sturdy scrapbook paper
  • Craft glue
  • Circle template (I used a shot glass to trace)
  • Gift card

  1. Print and cut out the Minecraft Diamond Sword template

  2. Glue one side of the template onto the cardstock. Cut out the shape

  3. Glue the other side of the template onto the backside of your Minecraft Diamond Sword shape

  4. Decide where on the sword you want to cut it in half. You should now have two pieces of sword

  5. Using a shot glass, I cut out two small circle shapes out of cardstock

  6. Cut a small slit in each end of your sword pieces. Fold the sides in opposite directions

  7. Glue these folded pieces onto your circle shapes

  8. Once secured, glue these circles (with attached sword pieces) onto the back and front of your gift card, lining them up

  9. Spear the gift card and give proudly!
