Looking at this box, I think of all those colouring pages that are sitting idle in some box after serving their purpose. This is such an inspiring project because I can base how I'll paint the boxes depending on the colouring pages. I can go with a mandala theme or a floral theme.

This is one of those ideas where you say, "why didn't I think of that". Well I didn't but I am glad someone did. I color and I often think what am I going to do with the finished pages. Now I know. I can never have too many boxes since I use them to keep myself organized. Also you can make a box as a gift and put the present inside. It is a good idea for those gift cards. I have used decoupage before. It is not hard. You just need to be a bit patient. Thank you.

That's a really pretty box! I wonder if it would work as well with a sturdy cardboard box? I have painted cardboard boxes before with good results, but don't know about decoupaging on it. Just wanted to say, too, that this would make a great gift from even smaller kids, with some help. They could cut out their favorite coloring pages and no matter what the subject, I'm sure Mom would love it.
