Lucky Penny Letters

Materials:

  • Papier mache or wooden letters
  • Copper acrylic paint & foam brush
  • Hot glue gun & glue sticks
  • Pennies (about $3 worth)
  • Mod Podge (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Begin by painting your purchased letters copper with copper, acrylic paint.

Note: If your letters are papier mache or unfinished wood, one coat should do fine.

  2. Once your letters are dry, begin to add your pennies using a hot glue gun.

  3. While gluing, try to space them so you don’t have any large gaps. Alternating pennies with different layers will give the piece added dimension.

Option:  Add a layer of glossy Mod Podge if you want them to shine.Prop your lucky penny letters on your mantle for an eye-catching display.
