  • Khaki green pigment ink stamp pad
  • Rolkem gold dusting powder
  • Stencil with a French motif
  • Paint brush
  • Brown packaging tape
  • Super glue
  • Fine grit sanding paper
  • Quick drying matte spray varnish
  • Utility knife
  • Soft cloth
  • Window cleaner

Instructions

  1. Use the brown packaging tape and the utility knife to cover the mirror. Keep the mirror covered until the wood has been varnished.

  2. Mix the white and watermelon paint into a soft pink. Add an uneven wash to the wood (front, back, and sides) and allow to dry thoroughly.

  3. Lightly sand the wood down, concentrating on places where one would expect normal wear and tear from years of handling. Use the soft cloth to gently wipe off any sanded dust from the wood before continuing with the next step.

  4. Use the ink stamp pad to add an aged effect to some areas of the wood. Allow to dry thoroughly.

  5. Use the paintbrush and the gold dusting pwoder to add a gold shimmer to some areas of the wood.

  6. Use white paint and the paint brush to add the stencil design to the back of the mirror. Carefully lift the stenvil and allow the design to dry thoroughly

  7. Lightly sand down the stenciled design, and use the stamp pad again to add an aged effect over the stenciled design.

  8. Spray the front, back, and sides of the mirror with the varnish and allow to dry thoroughly.

  9. Use the super glue to affix the rhinestone flowers to the back of the mirror.

  10. Remove the packaging tape and use the window cleaner and the soft cloth to remove any glue residue from the mirror.
