Well, phooey! I just threw away a length of leftover dryer vent because I didn't know what to do with it! It's neat that these are so simple but once painted, I doubt that anyone would know what they were made from. Squirrels ate real pumpkins that I put on the porch... I dare them! )

What a unique and incredibly simple project. The materials you need to complete it are all easy to come by and are inexpensive. They take no time at all to make, aside from waiting for paint to dry, and they make a really nice decoration. If you plan on setting these on a porch, you could put stones in the hole in the center for weight and glue a piece of cardboard to the bottom.

What a clever idea! We love to put pumpkins around our house in the fall. We will definitely try this.
