"I make these to look more as a flower. I gave them out at Christmas at the VA hospital that I use one year and I painted some Christmas colors and some for Channukkah colors and some just pretty flower colors. I did it that way because there are Christians, Jews, and people who don't believe in the holidays but they all got a present. I made over 1,000 of them and they were all well received. Unfortunately my hands are not what they used to be. I wish I could make them now and give them out. I think I would make about 5,000 this year because there are more veterans that need the cheer."

What a cute idea, and it doesn't look hard to do at all! It would be cool to hang a long row of these hearts across a window or a doorway or decorate a gift box with one. You could even make one from those tiny buttons for a lapel pin. Button crafts are so much fun!
