I use cloth napkins exclusively and most of the ones I use are handmade by me. However, I have never embroidered them that makes a big difference in how I would feel about using them. I'd probably take better care of them! So... off I go to look for cotton material to hem and some embrodery motifs that will go fast.

I don't have dinners often so I have paper napkins but I love the idea of embroidery on cloth napkins. I love flower crafts and one of them is embroidery. It's super fun and addictive hobby. I find it easier to use the carbon paper to trace out your design if you're a beginner, using a pen could creare a mess for you.

This is a great way to make a utilitarian item very pretty! My hubby I have just stopped using paper napkins, not because we are being green, but to save green-money that is! We found ourselves buying paper napkins quite often. Not wanting to pay for them anymore, we broke out our cloth napkins to use instead. I love vintage things, so I have been collecting them for years. Time to put them to use on an everyday basis, instead of only for our fancy dinners! This craft looks like it would be fun, very easy to adapt in color and style and would bring a very nice look for your table. Embroidery is a great way to personalize your linens too. You could even embroider a monogram on your napkins. How fun! Would you consider this for a craft project?

Tried this craft? What did you think?
