DIY 5-Minute Rustic Wreath
A great wreath is a welcoming addition to any front door – but pre-made wreaths are notoriously expensive. Materials List
- Plain grapevine wreath
- Artificial flower bush with wire stems
- Scrap ribbon
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors

Split the artificial flower bush in half, leaving the stems as long as possible. If your artificial flowers have a connected plastic base that can't split, trim half of the flowers off of it, leaving as much stem attached as you can.

Place the two halves together with the ends overlapping a bit. If this is much longer than your wreath is wide, move them closer to one another. Use the wire stems to loosely wrap both flower halves together, leaving one wire stem exposed. This does not have to be pretty, as it will be covered by ribbon.

Take the remaining wire stem and push it into the wreath where you would like your flowers to go. In this example, the flowers will sit centered at the bottom.

Bend the wire stem back into the wreath, wrapping it around a few of the branches. This is to help secure the flowers in place.

Take your widest piece of scrap ribbon and wrap it around the middle of the flowers and the wreath, gluing it in place as you go. If your wreath will hang on a window or glass door, fold the ends under when you glue to create a nice, polished look on both sides.

Repeat Step 6 using a thinner piece of ribbon, attaching it over the wider ribbon.

Tie a long piece of ribbon around the top of the wreath, knotting at your desired length, and trim ends at an angle.
