This is a great idea for a vintage tea cup. These dainty tea cups can be found in thrift stores for just pennies with, sometimes without, their saucers. No matter, the tiny cups are perfect to embellish as a Mothers Day gift. They make great pincushions, candles, or dresser catchalls too.

My mom passed away but I have an older dear friend I want to make this for. She is from England and loves tea. I saw a very pretty porcelain tea pot at the thrift store and bought it for $2. I had no idea what I would do with it. Now I know. Instead of a tea cup I will use the tea pot and glue the lid onto the side without the design. Then buy a box of her favorite tea to go with it. Thank you for the inspiration.
