Find out how to make a cute Christmas tree garland by following this easy tutorial. String your fabric garland across your fireplace or along your staircase for an extra dose of country charm this Christmas!

 

Country Christmas Garland with Homespun Fabrics 
 

Materials:

  • 1 yard each of at least 2 homespun fabrics
  • Yarn or twine to gather
  • Sewing supplies
     

Instructions:

  1. Cut homespun fabric into 4” wide (or desired width) strips.
     
  2. Sew end to end to create 1 ½ to 2 times desired finished length.
     
  3. Fringe on both sides of fabric by snipping about every ½ inch, 1 inch deep.
     
  4. Place fabric strips together.
     
  5. Sew yarn/twine down middle, pulling as you sew to gather slightly.
     
  6. Wet slightly under running water.
     
  7. Place in dryer.
